PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily continue machining while generating a tool path in an in-process in a milling control system by achieving the high speed operation of processing by an interference calculation method in virtual copying machining, a tool path generation method and a virtual stylus control method.;SOLUTION: This interference calculation method comprises: a two point extraction process for calculating the intersection of a boundary 11 of a virtual stylus in a cross section 10 of a virtual stylus and a boundary 21 of a virtual master model 2, and for extracting two points (a) and b which are the most isolated from those intersections; a direction decision process for calculating a direction vertical to a reference line 4 connecting the extracted two points (a) and b within a plane forming the cross section 10, and for defining the direction as an increasing/decreasing direction α of interference; and an interference quantity decision process for calculating the maximum width of the width of the cross section of the virtual master model included in the cross section 10, that is, the width in increasing/decreasing direction α of interference as an interference quantity current value ε, and for calculating a difference εd between the interference quantity current value ε and a predetermined reference interference quantity ε0, and for deciding the increasing/decreasing quantity of interference, based on the magnitude and positive/negative sign of the difference εd.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
