Means and methods for differentiating cardiac causes and lung cause of shortness of breath

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means and a method for discriminating the cause of breathlessness either from heart and from lung.;SOLUTION: This method is for a chronic subject of the breathlessness (dyspnea) to discriminate (i) the lung disease, (ii) the heart and blood tube complication, (iii) the heart and blood tube complication accompanying the lung disease, (iv) the dyspnea not caused from the heart blood tube or not caused from lung. The method comprises: the step for determining the amount of active protein of lung surface of the sample of the subject; the step for determining the amount of sodium urination Peptide; and the step for comparing the amount determined at the above 2 steps with the reference amount for discriminating (i) the lung disease, (ii) the heart and blood tube complication, (iii) the heart and blood tube complication accompanying the lung disease, (iv) the dyspnea not caused from the heart blood tube or not caused from lung.
