PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable data to be acquired successively for 24 hours and a detailed analysis about a number of persons to be carried out, without the need to dispatch an investigator to a person-number measuring place nor to collect the data manually.;SOLUTION: A plurality of weight sensors 1 are installed at respective places where the number of persons is measured, and weight values are measured at every predetermined timing, and measurement data, containing data of the weight values and measurement place information are transmitted with each timing, when the weight measurement is carried out. The measurement data from the plurality of weight sensors 1 are received by and stored in an apparatus 2 for calculating and analyzing the number of persons. Then, at each timing after an elapse of predetermined time, the total amount of the weight value data included in the measurement data which are stored in a period of the elapsed time, is calculated for each weight sensor 1, thereby obtaining total weight data. The total weight data are divided by an average weight value of human bodies, and a value obtained by this dividing operation is used as the number of persons in the place, represented by the place information at the timing, after the elapse of the predetermined time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
