PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drawing device capable of drawing a line, the end of which is inclined in an orthogonal shape, in a short drawing period of time.;SOLUTION: In this line drawing device, which receives a line drawing command having a start point position and line width and draws a line whose end is in an orthogonal shape in a line direction corresponding to the line drawing command, a plurality start point positions of a plurality of adjacent unit width lines are obtained in accordance with the inclination of a line drawn by the line drawing command, and bitmap data of the plurality of adjacent unit width lines are repeatedly generated on the basis of the plurality of start point positions. Not drawing processing that renders a rectangle but drawing processing that repeats processing for generating bitmap data of a plurality of adjacent unit width lines can be subjected to the drawing command to draw a line whose end is in an orthogonal shape. Then, it is possible to perform drawing processing of a broken line in particular not by many rectangular rendering processing but by a plurality of unit width broken line drawing processing so that drawing processing time can be shortened.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
