PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a step of installing a discharge electrode wire of a wet electrostatic dust precipitator to a discharge electrode frame and to provide the wet electrostatic dust precipitator in which an amount of use of lead is suppressed and the life of the discharge electrode frame is considerably prolonged by using a fiber-reinforced plastic for the material of the discharge electrode frame.;SOLUTION: A first wet electrostatic dust precipitator is produced by forming a ring at a tip end by turning back the tip end part of a discharge electrode wire made of lead, inserting a penetrating tool through the ring, installing the penetrating tool in a discharge electrode frame, and installing the discharge electrode wire in the discharge electrode frame. A second invention is a wet electrostatic dust precipitator in which the discharge electrode wire made of lead is attached to the discharge electrode frame. The discharge electrode frame is composed of a pair of fiber-reinforced plastic materials and the penetration tool inserted into the ring formed by turning back the tip end part of the discharge electrode wire is attached to the discharge electrode frame made of the fiber-reinforced plastic and the discharge electrode wire tip end is electrically connected to an electrode plate made of lead and installed along the discharge electrode frame.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
