PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To firstly provide a method for treating with which slight bleachability of pulp after carrying out kraft digesting and an oxygen delignification treatment of chips of single wood of the slightly digestible and slightly bleachable genus Eucalyptus or chips of mixed wood containing the wood of the genus Eucalyptus can be improved at a low cost and the bleaching load can be reduced and to secondly provide bleached pulp of high whiteness by the treatment.;SOLUTION: The slight bleachability of the pulp after carrying out the kraft digesting and oxygen delignification treatment of single wood of the slightly digestible and slightly bleachable genus Eucalyptus or chips of mixed wood containing the wood of the genus Eucalyptus can be improved and the subsequent bleaching load can be reduced by performing a hot water extraction treatment under specific conditions.
