PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper conveying mechanism capable of certainly conveying the papers without relying upon the condition of the papers, and a paper direction conversion mechanism capable of certainly inverting the papers without relying upon the condition of the papers.;SOLUTION: The conveying mechanism 10 has a conveying passage 1 for conveying a postal object M. A driving roller 2 (3) rotated by a motor 14 is provided at one side of the conveying passage 1 and a driven roller 4 (5) rolling-contacted with the driving roller 2 (3) through the conveying passage 1 is provided at the other side of the conveying passage 1.
