A face mask for use as a procedure mask, isolation mask or dental face mask having a transparent shell with one opening for covering the nose and mouth of a person and a housing having a first and a second air passageway with a chamber located therebetween for holding a replaceable filter coupled to the one opening in the transparent shell. Elastic straps which are attached to the transparent shell are adapted to be placed around a user's head to hold the transparent shell against the face of the user and the transparent shell is made of a clear latex free plastic.
