FORMULATION TO PREVENT OR TREAT AN ENTERETIC DISORDER, DIARRHEA OR INFLAMMATORY INTESTINAL DISEASE OR TO PROMOTE THE GROWTH OF THE BENEFIT INTESTINAL FLORA, ORAL REHYDRATION SOLUTION AND ORAL HEATING HYDRATION SOLUTION. The present invention relates, in general, to oral formulations including one or more human milk proteins produced recombinantly. The formulations of the present invention can be used to prevent the onset of diarrhea in patients who have been exposed to one or more known agents causing diarrhea, and to prevent recurrence of diarrhea in a patient recovering from one. The formulations can also be used to treat inflammatory bowel disease, including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. The formulations can also be beneficially administered according to methods to promote the development of healthy intestinal flora in a human patient.
