b ENZYME AND METHODOLOGY FOR TREATING A BIOMASS d An enzyme isolated from an extremophilic microbe and a method for using it are described, and in which the enzyme reveals ideal enzymatic activity at a temperature above about 80 degrees C, and a pH of less than about 2, and can be used additionally in methodology including the pre-treatment of a biomass in order to facilitate the generation of a final product.
