Described is an apparatus for reduction of NOx at low temperature, which is useful in Systems of Boilers used in power plants. The device uses one or a Plurality of movable Bed Reactors where a common movable Bed base metal Catalyst is used for Selective Catalytic Reduction of NOx in the flue gas.The movable Bed allows the continuous introduction of Fresh or regenerated Catalyst, thereby obviating the conventional problems of Sulfur Poisoning and consequent reduction in catalytic activity with such Catalysts.Due to the low Activation Energies of such Catalysts, a SCR Reactors that used movable Bed described here may be located downstream of the Air heater, further improving the efficiency of Electricity Generation. It also describes the methods for the reduction of NOx at low temperature.
