The present invention provides a method of immobilizing lipase on asymmetric microporous polysulfone polymer membrane by ultrafiltration membrane process to prepare biocatalytic membrane to fabricate a membrane bioreactor for the modification of composition of oils and fats. The hydrolytic activity of immobilized lipase as determined by hydrolyzing olive oil in ultrafiltration cell at 30° C, at 15 psi pressure, at pH 7 is -35.15 U/mg of lipase in comparison to 33 U/mg of native lipase.
