The present invention relates to an extended release floating tablet of pregabalin comprising pregabalin, a gas generating component, atleast one rate-controlling polymer and other pharmaceutical excipients, wherein the said tablet provides therapeutically effective plasma levels of pregabalin for a period of upto about 24 hours.
