THEORY OF OCCURRENCE OF HIGH AND LOW TIDES WITH THE SPIN OF EARTH ROTATING ABOUT ITS OWN AXIS INCLINED TOWARDS THE SUN

摘要

The effect of gravitational forces of attraction due to masses of Moon and the Sun acting against C.G of earth are negligible as compared to the gravitational force of attraction acting on the total mass of water due to mass of earth towards its centre. Therefore, the gravitational forces due to masses of Moon and the sun has no role to play in creating the tides in Sea. The tides are occurring due to spin of earth about its own axis rotating at an inclination.
