A millimeter wave reception device (2) includes a base member (13), an antenna portion (9) placed on an upper surface of the base member (13), and a cover (10) arranged above the antenna portion (9) to cover the antenna portion (9). The antenna portion (9) is arranged within a space formed by the upper surface of the base member (13) and an inner surface of the cover (10). The cover (10) is formed in a tapered shape, and includes not less than one inclined surface having a constant gradient such that the space becomes narrower at a position closer to an upper portion. An angle formed between the inclined surface of the cover (10) and the upper surface of the base member (13) is not less than 60° and not more than 90°.
