The present invention relates to an isolated nucleic acid (NA) molecule, comprising an allele of a genetic polymorphism linked to resistance to enterotoxigenic E. coii (ETEC). The present invention also relates to a NA probe, which comprises a NA sequence that is homologous to a fragment of the isolated NA molecule of the invention. This invention further relates to a kit for determining if a pig is homozygous, heterozygous or non-carrier of an allele of a genetic polymorphism being linked to resistance to ETEC.
