The present invention is related to an electrostatic system for impregnating continuous fibres with powders, where the continuous fibres and the powders are thermoplastic polymers, the inventive system producing, in a continuous manner, thermoplastic materials in the form of continuous sheets with a constant width and thickness, being flexible, roll up- bubble-free, smooth, with uniform edges, totally recyclable, with continuous fibres axially oriented in the same direction, with an accurate impregnation degree and with an homogeneous impregnation. Said continuous sheets are used for moulding multilayer laminates, where each layer is formed by continuous fibre sheets axially oriented in the same direction, and where the reinforcing directions of the continuous fibres of one layer with regard to another may be equal or different; the different layer may also be reinforced with different fibres in each layer. The multilayer laminates are totally recyclable in a polymer mixture by conven tional methods such as extrusion or injection. The electrostatic system for impregnating continuous fibres with powders results from continuous fibres which are fed in closed wicks of continuous fibres. The aforementioned system comprises the following modules: a module for separating fibres formed by an uncoiling device and a fibre separator; an impregnation module formed by a pre-impregnator, a furnace and a tensor; and finally a lamination module formed by a laminator and a coiling device.
