Novel hydantoin derivatives for the treatment of obstructive airway diseases

Disclosed are the three compounds: (5S)-5-( {[4-[(2-Cyclopropylpyrimidin-5-yl)ethynyl]-3,6-dihydropyridin-l (2H)yl]sulfonyl}methyl)-5-methylimidazolidine-2,4-dione, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof; (5S)-5-Methyl-5-({[4-{[2-(trifluoromethyl)pyrimidin-5-yl]ethynyl}-3,6dihydropyridin-l (2H)-yl]sulfonyl}methyl)imidazolidine-2,4-dione, and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof; and (5S)-5-( {[4-[(2-Ethylpyrimidin-5-yl)ethynyl]-3,6-dihydropyridin-l (2H)yl]sulfonyl}methyl)-5-methylimidazolidine-2,4-dione trifluoroacetate. Also disclosed is the process for preparing the compounds, pharmaceutical composition containing the compounds, a process for preparing the composition and the use of the compounds to treat obstructive airways diseases such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
