Disclosed is a method for removal of [18F]fluoride from alumina by washing the alumina with an aqueous acid or alkali at a temperature of between 40°C and boiling point of the aqueous acid or alkali. This method may be performed on an automated synthesis apparatus for synthesis of a [18F]radiofluorinated radiotracer.
