In vitro method for simultaneously detecting and identifying antibiotics of different classes and corresponding diagnostic kit

Disclosed is a diagnostic kit for the simultaneous measurement of antibiotics of different classes, comprising: - a single reactive mixture comprising at least two receptors, a first receptor specific for the recognition of â-lactames and a second receptor to specifically and competitively recognise a tetracycline and a biotinylated fragment of nucleic acid, both receptors being marked, either directly or indirectly by means of an antibody or of an antibody in association with protein A, said mixture comprising also the biotinylated fragment of nucleic acid; - a recovery system in the form of a solid support comprising a nitrocellulose membrane on which are attached at two known and distinct sections, called test zones, an antibiotic with a â-lactame core and an avidine, respectively or vice versa; in such a way that the marking intensity detected on the recovery system in both test zones independently results from the competitive recognition of each antibiotic by its marked receptor. Preferably, the receptors are marked with particles of colloidal gold.
