Moulded fish ladder with pools and water flow impediments

A moulded fish ladder 1 includes a longitudinally extending ramp defining a ramp surface 2 over which water 6 can flow from one end of the ramp to the other. The moulding includes depressed relief features 4 to assist pooling along the ramp so that the fish can rest in the pools during ascent of the ramp. The moulding is also provided with a plurality of raised relief features 3 moulded in an off-set spaced relationship to each other both along and laterally on the ramp surface.
