Disclosed are 3-phenylpyrazolo[5,1-b]thiazole compounds of formula (I) or salts thereof wherein the substituents are as defined in the specification. Also disclosed is the use of said compounds for treating or preventing diseases such as depression, anxiety, irritable bowel syndrome, sleep disorders and alcohol dependence.
