The invention relates to a bituminous composition employed for sealing joints and surfaces of concrete or pavement mixtures and to a process for preparing the same. According to the invention, the composition consists of a bituminous component A and a component B in a gravimetric ratio of 1 : 1...20 : 1, where the component A comprises 15...85% bitumen, 2...40% naphthenic oil, 5...60% hydroxylated polybutadiene, 2...30% hydroxylated vegetable polyols, 10...65% CaCO, 2...10% solvent, 0.1...1.5% catalyst of the type of 0.01...2% tin octanoate, while the component B comprises a mixture of aliphatic and aromatic polyisocyanates in a ratio ranging between 1 : 2 and 1 : 3. The claimed process consists in mixing the dehydrated elements of the component A at a temperature of 15...45°C with the component B, in the prescribed ratio, thereby resulting a bitumen with polyurethane which is applied and left to reticulate in situ for 30 min to 3 h.
