Invention herewith described refers to the way of mounting a housing of the CNG tank on the roof of the urban low-floor buses with environmental engine on compressed natural gas. U-shaped steel bracket (2) is reinforced by mounting lamellas (4), is mounted to the bus body during the its production and to the roof grid (3) it is connected by welding, which meets the standard ECE R-110 regarding the question of installing and testing CNG systems in vehicles.By the application of this invention and mounting the steel bracket (2) a better access during maintenance as well as the gas system control on the bus are obtained and the CNG tank housing (1) assembly and disassembly are greatly simplified especially when the serial production of buses is concerned.
