Described porous composite particles, which contain aluminum oxide component and at least one additive component residue crystal size growth inhibitor, wherein said composite particles have: a) specific surface area of at least 80 m2 / g, b) average pore diameter from 60 to 1000 angstroms; c) a total pore volume from 0.2 to 2.5 cm3 / g, d) average particle diameter of 1 to 15 microns, and in those composite particles: (i) alumina component comprises at least 70% by weight. crystals, (ii) the remainder of the additive component is derived from at least one ionic compound and is present in the composite particles in an amount of 0.5 to 10 wt%. based on the total weight of aluminum oxide component and the rest of the food ingredients. It also described a method for producing these particles and how hydro process petroleum feedstock based on these particles.
