METHOD FOR TREATING PARASITIC HYDATID LIVER CYSTS

A method for treating parasitic hydatid liver cysts comprises transcutaneous echocontrolled puncture of the cavity of pathologic structure, the evacuation of cyst content, the administration of scolecydic solution followed by its removal after a time. Prior to such intervention, 3-4 week course of chemotherapy with antiparasitic drug is provided. After separation and the partial shrinkage of chitin envelope and appearance of the gap between the envelope and fibrous capsule, the scolecydic solution is used for treating both external and internal surfaces of the cyst envelope.
