摘要
A method for assessing the effect of Thiotriazolin on the regeneration of the peripheral nerve in the setting of long-term micromercurialism comprises analysis of the nerve tissue. Mercury chloride at a dose of 1/100 LDis injected intraperitoneally for 10 days, the nerve is injured. Then Thiotriazolin is injected intraperitoneally at a dose of 100 mg/kg for 2 weeks. The average angle of deviation from the longitudinal axis of the nerve is measured for nerve fibers in the area of the regeneration neuroma. The distribution density of the nerve fibers is also measured. The data are compared with that of intact nerve. The increased number of the nerve fibers generated de novo suggests the positive effect of Thiotriazolin on the regeneration of the peripheral nerve in the setting of long-term micromercurialism
