METHOD FOR DETERMINATION OF VOLUME OF HEMORRHAGE AT VAGINAL BIRTH

Method for determination of volume of hemorrhage at vaginal birth at which before beginning of birth one measures level of hemoglobin in blood of woman in childbirth. After child birth, though before separation of placenta, one changes all the napping and napkins under the woman to dry ones, with placement of clean trough with 200 ml of water for blood collection. In 2 hours one pours from the trough to measuring device all blood collected, there one places as well all the napping and napkins, wool balls soaked with blood lost at birth, with filling with cold water to mark of total volume 3-5 liters in such way that water covers all material immersed. Washing waters are shaken. In 30 minutes on apparatus "HemoCue Plasms/Low Hb Phoptometer" one measures level of free hemoglobin in washing waters with calculation of volume of blood loss (Kv) in ml by formula:,where- level of free hemoglobin in washing water, g/l;- total volume of washing water and soaked with blood material, ml;- level of hemoglobin in woman in birth blood before childbirth, g/l.
