In a gantry crane comprising a gantry installed on a runway with a moving mechanism, a rotary column mounted on the gantry with a boom system attached thereon with a mechanism of changing boom outreach, a crane operator's cab and a machine room with a mechanism for lifting load, the boom system is made in the form of a boom, an arm and a rigid guy leg, while the head of boom and the head of rotary column are also equipped with movably installed rope blocks, and the mechanism of changing boom outreach is made in the form of a rope winch mounted in the machine room and a flexible connection, such as a rope forming with above-mentioned blocks a rope tackle wound on the winch drum of the mechanism of changing boom outreach.
