The method for diagnosing the acute intestinal ischemia comprises blood examination, namely the assay of diene conjugates. According to the values of the optical density, the reversible intestinal ischemia, the segmental intestinal necrosis, the subtotal intestinal necrosis or the total necrosis of small intestine involving the right division of the colon may be diagnosed.
