A method of producing porous coordination polymers based on trinuclear carboxylate complexes of transition metals and organic ligands containing residue of pyridine relates to adsorbents for various substances, including gases (including fuel gases), organic molecules, etc. The field of application of such sorbents can be sorption of substrates for storage thereof (including storage of fuel gases - hydrogen, methane, etc. at low pressure), extraction of certain substances from liquid or gaseous media (in particular with a view of removal of impurities from them) and separation of mixtures by selective adsorption of certain components in the pores and on the surface of the sorbent.
