A method for diagnosing the possible deviations from the natural feeding of newborns at the stage of examination of the pregnant woman comprises the complex of clinical features and medical history accounting for the obstetric history, the data of laboratory und ultrasonic examination. The prognostic coefficients and informativeness of the gradations of parameters is estimated and the result is expressed as "natural", "artificial" or "mixed" feeding.
