The invention relates to the field of ferrous metallurgy, in particular to the method for heat treatment of hypoeutectoid steels. The method includes heating to a temperature of Ac+ (30-), holding for 1-2 min/mm of steel thickness, further cooling to the room temperature, at that before cooling the mentioned steel is overcooled in the air to a temperature of Ac+ (30-), holding for 40-90 minutes at this temperature. Depending on the required properties of the steel cooling to the room temperature is carried out in various media on air, water, oil, salt melt. During the formation of martensite and bainite in steel structure the steel tempering is carried out. The invention provides increasing the strength level, moldability and impact value.
