Disclosed is a method for cultivating the Black-Sea red alga Gelidium latifolium (Grev.) Born. et Thur. (Rhodophyta) relates to the field of aquaculture and can be used while cultivating the Black-Sea red agar-carrying alga Gelidium latifolium (Grev.) Born, et Thur.). The method provides for cyclic technology including Rest stages at a temperature of 10-12 °C and an intensity of daylight illumination of 0.2-0.5 kLx, making a nutrient medium on the basis of filtered Black-Sea water, sowing of a medium with fragments of Gelidium with an initial density of 2-2.5 kg/m, techniques to stimulate growth of a subject and inhibit epiphytes, growing at an intensity of illumination on the water surface of 18-20 kLx, a temperature of the nutrient medium of 15-19 °C in February, March and November, 19-23 °C in April, May, September and October and 23-27 °C in summer months, bubbling of the nutrient medium with compressed air, which provides volumetric rotation of the algae, maintaining the pH of the nutrient medium at the level of 7.9-8.2 by means of adding carbon dioxide in an equivalent of 25- per algae per day, the internal flow passage of the medium which provides its full or double substitution per day, which at the beginning of the cycle is saturated with biogens as KNO(or NaNO) and KHPO·3HO (or NaHPO·3HO), increasing the rate daily correspondingly to an increase of biomass, harvesting and selecting the alga free from fouling for the following cycles. The salinity of Black-Sea water is brought up to 26 , and the following substances are added: 4.8-7.2 mg/l of nitrogen as KNOin an equivalent of 35-52 mg/l (or NaNO- 29-44 mg/l), 0.8-1.2 mg/l, of phosphorus as KHPO·3HO in an equivalent of 4.9-7.4 mg/l (or NaHPO·3HO 4.5-6.7 mg/l), and 0.35-0.45 mg/l of chelated ferrum as FeCl·6HO in an equivalent of 1.68-2.16 mg/l boiled together with 13-17 mg/l of NaEDTA as a growth stimulant.
