A SOL-GEL HYBRID FIBER COATING FOR USE IN SOLID PHASE MICROEXTRACTION PROCESS, TO EXTRACT ORGANOPHOSPHORUS PESTICIDES (OPPS), IN WHICH THE COATING PROCESS OF THE FIBER INCLUDES THE PROCESS OF SOL-GEL COATING TECHNIQUE TO PRODUCE POLYDIMETHYLSILAXANE-POLY(VINYL ALCOHOL) SOLID PHASE MICROEXTRACTION (PDMS-PVA SPME) HYBRID FIBER, WHILE IN THE SAME TIME CHARACTERIZING THE LABORATORY-MADE PDMS-PVA SPME HYBRID FIBER COATING; DETERMINING THE LIMIT OF DETECTION (LOD) AND LIMIT OF QUANTIFICATION (LOQ) FOR EACH OPP STUDIED USING BOTH FIBERS (PDMS AND SOL-GEL PDMS- PVA HYBRID FIBER); APPLYING OPTIMUM CONDITIONS OBTAINED FROM HS-SPME TO THE EXTRACTION OF OPPS BUT NOT LIMITED THEREOF, FROM SELECTED VEGETABLES; WHEREBY THE METHOD ALLOWS THE EXTRACTION OF THE COMPOUNDS IN VEGETABLES BUT NOT LIMITED THEREOF.
