The recovery device has a lancet (1), which has a lancet body (2) with two tips (3). The tips have different lengths. The device has a selection unit for a tip, so that pricking is carried out with definite penetrating depth in a body part, where the body part is arranged opposite to the device, depending on the length of the selected tip. The pricking is not done with the non-selected tip. The two tips are arranged in different directions at the lancet body, in a star forming linear manner. The device has a drive unit for moving the lancet. An independent claim is also included for a lancet, which has a lancet body with two tips, having different lengths.
