A process for obtaining metal nanoparticles and their use in Raman spectroscopy.; The present invention relates to a process for obtaining metal nanoparticles from solutions of salts of the corresponding metal cations such as salts of silver, gold, copper, aluminum and palladium. The invention is also directed to nanoparticles obtainable by such process metal, their use in the manufacture of sensors for detecting Raman spectroscopy and a detection method employing such nanoparticles.
