A composition of matter comprising a material selected from the group consisting of a packaging material and at least one layer of a sheet material, and a composition pest control comprising at least one of a sesquiterpene alcohol, a sesquiterpene alcohol with ar -turmerone, a solid residue of turmeric oleoresin with a sesquiterpene alcohol, and a solid residue of turmeric oleoresin with a sesquiterpene alcohol and ar -turmerone, incorporating said composition control pests in or on said material, selected said sesquiterpene alcohol the group consisting of hinesol, agarospirol, valerianol, - bisabolol, bisabolol, -eudesmol, ar-turmerol, -copaen-11-ol, [E] -nerolidol and gossonorol, and any combination thereof, in which total amount of said sesquiterpene alcohol in said pest control composition is at least 10% by weight, and wherein an amount of said control composition pest in said composition of matter is such that an amount of said ar -turmerone in said composition of matter is in a range of 0.1 g / m 2 to 0.5 g / m 2, a total amount of said sesquiterpene alcohol in said composition of matter is in the range of 0.03 g / m 2 to 0.2 g / m 2, and an amount of said solid residue of turmeric oleoresin in said composition of matter is in a range of 0.1 g / m 2 to 0.5 g / m 2, and said amounts of said ar -turmerone, said sesquiterpene alcohol and said solid residue of turmeric oleoresin are selected such that said pest control composition shows repellant and antifeedant activities of insects.
