The guide is elongated and substantially flat, and has a plurality of electrodes (2), connected to corresponding contacts (3) via tracks (4); comprises at least two overlapping basic cells (CB1, CB2, .... CB11), each with a base layer (11) insulation on which is arranged a layer (12) forming conductive electrodes (2), the tracks (4) and contacts (3). The method comprises superimposing successive insulating and conductive layers and defining suitable by photolithography to form electrodes, contacts, tracks and windows for accessing the electrodes and contacts geometries. The invention allows automated manufacture of a guide with a large number of electrodes and suitable for atraumatic implantation externally to the scala tympani dimensions.
