System access to a service on a network (2) of IP type with an IMS architecture, from a terminal (10) user connected to said network (2), wherein said service is a television service IP, the user subscribing to a list of at least one television channel of said service being, and that said system comprises at least one server (23) application having means, activated on receipt of a request for access to the service emitted by said terminal (10), of: - determining information subscription of said user in said list and information of the reception capability needed for said at least one string; - checking compatibility between said information reception capability needed for said at least one chain and a reception capacity offered by said terminal; - selecting at least one channel from said list, according to said compatibility check; - sending, to said terminal (10) user, a response to said request, containing at least one information receiving said at least one selected string.
