METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR VERIFYING THE INTEGRITY AND SECURITY OF COMPUTER NETWORKS AND IMPLEMENTATION OF COUNTER MEASURES

A method and apparatus for verifying the integrity of devices on a targetnetwork (100) having two components: a subsystem (50) connected to the targetnetwork (100), and a master system (60), isolated therefrom by a secure lin(52). The topological and hierarchical relationship of the devices to eachother improves stability of the apparatus. Random testing of the subsystem(50) by the master system (60) provide verification and independent self-checking.
