DOPPLER TYPE ULTRASONIC FLOWMETER, METHOD OF OPERATION AND FLOW RATE MEASURING METHOD

A doppler ultrasonic flowmeter 10A includes: a Udflowunit 13 for calculating the speed of a great number ofreflectors 25 contained in a fluid 12 to be measured; aflow-speed distribution calculating element 70 forcalculating the flow-speed distribution of the fluid 12 tobe measured within a fluid tube 11 by performing computationprocessing for the flow-speed data of the reflectors 25received from the Udflow unit 13; a center positiondetecting element 71 for detecting the center position ofthe fluid tube 11; a flow-speed distribution calculatingmember 67 having an area selecting element 72 which allowsthe user to select a division area within the fluid tube 11in units of the division area; the flow-speed distributionbeing calculated for the selected division area using thereflectors 25; and a flow calculating member 68 formeasuring the flow by further performing computationprocessing for the flow-speed distribution of the fluid 12to be measured. Furthermore, the doppler ultrasonicflowmeter 10A includes a display monitor 39 for displayingthe calculation results output from at least one of theflow-speed distribution calculating member 67 and the flowcalculating member 68. The present invention having such aconfiguration provides a doppler ultrasonic flowmeter, aflow measurement method, and a flow measurement program,having the advantage of enabling measurement of the flow-speeddistribution and measurement of the flow, regardlessof irregularities in the measurement results of the flow-speeddistribution.
