A multifunctional constructional modular element for machine-buildingpurposes includes a profile element made of solid sheet material wherein theprofile element has a horizontal part that tapers off on both sides at anangleof approximately 90 degrees to a first downwardly directed vertical part and asecond downwardly directed vertical part. At least one of the vertical partsislongitudinally provided at mutually regular distances with cut-away portionsforthe insertion of one or more functional sockets for interconnection of thevertical profile parts to a compact unit. The functional socket is providedwithinternal threading to receive a coupling element or module for use in amachine building construction. Girders and vertical stands for theconstruction of a machine are coupled to one or more of the profile elementswith one or more functional sockets for machine construction.
