DYNAMIC WATER SHIELD FIRE PROTECTION SYSTEM

A dynamic water shield fire protection system and method is provided forcontinuously wettingroof and both external and internal wall surfaces of a building with runningthin water films forprotecting against an impending fire. Unlike conventional sprinkler systems inwhich water issprinkled, in the present invention, specially designed nozzles with flatoutlets spread flattenedwater flows at close range directly on the surfaces to protect against fire.Protected from wind,water flowing from adjacent individual nozzles merges into a uniform waterfilm acting as a watershield to protect the surfaces from an impending fire. A drain assembly isinstalled longitudinallyalong the bottom of each water protected surface to collect the water runningdown, enablingwater evacuation or recycling. Thus, a fire protection system is provided toprotect a buildingfrom both exterior and interior impending fire.
