Oplogging for online recovery in direct connection client server systems

摘要

Clients are permitted to directly attach to a client server system. A oplog managementsystem tracks changes as clients make the changes to control structures of thedirect connection client server system. The Oplogging system stores changesin oplogs. Then, if a client fails, the Oplogging system can repair the controlstructures, either by undoing the changes made by the client, or else completingthe changes in place of the client; depending on principles defined.
