More particularly, the present innovation is directed to compositions comprising herbs or extracts of herbs or botanical or horticultural equivalents of the herbs or chemical or functional equivalents of the herbal extracts useful for the regulation of body sugar levels, such as but not limited to providing regulation of sugar metabolism, increasing muscle glucose uptake, breakdown and energy production, improving insulin sensitivity and increasing the transport of glucose into cells, and supporting the maintenance of general well-being in mammals. The present innovation further contemplates a method of uses in mammals by administration of a herbal composition or its chemical or functional equivalent in the maintenance of normal body sugar levels and general well-being.
