The invention concerns a FPAA-based Mho distance relay considering CVT transient supervision and a method of realizing such a relay. Said relay comprises : - means for applying zone one polarizing and operating signals for three phase to ground loops and three phase to phase loops, - means for converting the polarizing and operating signals to square wave in Field Programmable Analog Arrays (10), - means for transmitting these signals to a microcontroller (13) for final decision making.
