PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a degradation determining method and a degradation determining device of a storage battery which can perform a determination of a degradation status of the storage battery in use connected to a load within short time and with accuracy.;SOLUTION: For the determination of the degradation status of the storage battery in a system including a constitution which the storage battery is connected to the load, a temperature which determines the degradation status of the storage battery is beforehand established as a reference temperature. An internal resistance component of the measured storage battery is converted to a value at the reference temperature. This value is converted to a voltage between the terminals at the time of discharge of the storage battery at the reference temperature. The degradation status of the storage battery is judged, by comparing the voltage between the terminals at the time of discharge of the storage battery at the reference temperature with a degradation determining threshold value.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
