A control circuit for eliminating standby power consumption of power source of appliance capable of being switched by infrared remote control comprises: a control unit, an infrared remote control signal receiver connecting unit, an infrared remote control signal transmitting unit, a switching unit for the power source of the controlled appliance, and a power supply unit. The control circuit for eliminating power source standby power consumption of appliance capable of being switched by infrared remote control, via detecting of the received infrared remote control signal, judges whether the controlled appliance enters a standby status or it is within the standby status and needed to be turned-on, and turns-off the power source of the controlled appliance after it entered the standby status; turns-on the power source of the controlled appliance when it is within the standby status and needs to be turned-on, and transmits a turn-on signal to a infrared remote control signal receiving port of the controlled appliance to turn-on the controlled appliance after the power source completed the pre-heating, and thereby realizes the elimination of standby power consumption of the power source of the appliance capable of being switched by infrared remote control.
