Reflected signals are picked up and evaluated. During evaluation the signals picked up undergo filtering to suppress stationary objects. A digital filter is inserted in a device for detecting objects in distance cells through scanning the distance cells with radar signals. A memory element stores a computer program for running the method of the present invention. An Independent claim is also included for a device for detecting objects in distance cells through scanning the distance cells with the aid of radar signals.
